TWEZIMBE WIDOWS OF HIV/AIDS

thrives to see widows and orphans without stigma!

Background

This organisation was formed in October 2010 by Aidah Nakawooya after several attempts by the relatives of the deceased husbands to evict widows from their house and land left to them by the deceased. These are usually assisted by well-wishers to overcome this challenge but they too in the end prove to take advantage. The affected decided to join hands so as to have a common voice to advocate for their rights and the rights of other widows and orphans mainly those infected with HIV/AIDS whose case was at the extreme.
